Kelly: Hi Lisa! I guess the first question I have for you really, is have you always loved making cakes?
Lisa: I love making some cakes, and I hate making some cakes. I like to try and be unique rather than copying someone elses design.
Kelly: What inspired you to start making them for friends and family?
Lisa: Shop cakes taste awful compared to home baked cakes! I liked the idea of making my own and experimenting with flavours and colours. I also love that they are super fresh made in my own kitchen.
Kelly: How on earth do you find the time? (Lisa has two kids, a wedding to plan and a full time job. Superwoman).
Lisa: Working and being a Mum, it does prove difficult. I guess thats why I'm only a hobby baker and not a multi millionaire. (Dont worry Lisa, you will be after this article!).
Kelly: What has been your favourite cake to make so far?
Lisa: My favourite cake is a tough one..... but I would have to say, I think its the Pauls Boutique bag one (pictured top right). The girl who I made it for was really pleased with it, and it actually went the way I planned.
Kelly: When you are baking for someone else, you obviously have to have it done by a certain time. do you still enjoy it when the pressures on?
Lisa: I do get a bit stressed when time is running out to provide a quality cake, but thats the way it is. I try to have time slots through the day so things run to plan.
