WHEN WAS YOUR COMPANY FOUNDED AND HOW ? AmTab has been dedicated to serving educational , hospitality , healthcare , commercial , and industrial markets since 1958 with innovative products that perform day-in and day-out . We manufacture mobile cafeteria tables , folding tables , classroom tables , heavy-duty caddies , stages and risers .
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST JOB ? I started as a factory worker at another table manufacturing company that was located in Chicago .
HOW DID YOU GET STARTED IN THE EDUCATIONAL PRODUCTS BUSINESS ? This was the first industry I worked in when I came to the United States from India in 1972 . I had the good fortune of working with a family-owned business ; they mentored me and trained me in this industry , which I enjoyed very much .
WHAT MAKES YOUR COMPANY UNIQUE ? First and foremost it starts with the AmTab workforce — we have experienced individuals who have been in the industry for many years from the manufacturing floor to the management team . Secondly , we are well known in the industry for our patented innovative products , design improvement , and quality . We stand behind all of our products with a full 15-year warranty . I believe the combination of our quality products and personalized service makes us unique and stands out .
WHAT DO YOU LIKE BEST ABOUT THE EDUCATIONAL PRODUCTS INDUSTRY ? At its core , the educational products industry serves the children and young people that use our products . I am honored that we are able to be a small part of shaping the future leaders of our country and the world .
WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF ? I am most proud of my family , my extended family at AmTab , and all of the individuals that I have worked with and befriended within our industry throughout the years .
