SpeakerCraft ATX- 100 is a speaker solution for Dolby ATMOS

Meridian ’ s DSP8000 Special Edition digital active loudspeakers deliver a phenomenal performance ., says the maker . These high quality speakers contain integral DAC ’ s , pre-amplifiers , power amplifiers and built-in high efficiency digital crossovers . The design means that the loudspeaker enclosure contains the entire system ’ s electronics . They are also controlled remotely , which means no unsightly speaker cables or obtrusive wiring . The DSP8000SE represents the pinnacle of Meridian ’ s expertise in design aesthetic , high quality build and fantastic sound .
The M6 Digital Loudspeaker incorporates high performance amplifiers and a sleek , cylindrical design to complement any interior design scheme . It features Enhanced Boundary Control to eliminate bass boom , and a wide dispersion pattern to create superb , natural sound that can be enjoyed from any position . With a revised and improved cabinet resin , the enhanced M6 digital active loudspeaker will be available from October as a single loudspeaker , with the addition of a ‘ mono ’ mode developed from the work undertaken on the DSP320 .
From inside the walls
Jason Aldous , of Aldous Systems , talks to EI about its new SpeakerCraft ATX-100 , which is currently the only in-wall height speaker solution for Dolby Atmos . “ It allows a dealer to have an in-wall solution where height channels cannot be installed in the ceiling ,” Jason says . “ It is a great solution for dealers that want to deliver Atmos solutions where there are limitations .”
The ATX100 is the architectural in-wall solution to the traditional floor standing or bookshelf height speakers and reflects sound off the ceiling , including overhead , to place and move audio anywhere in the room for an immersive experience .
The ATX100 ’ s dual drivers and tweeter fire upward into the acoustically controlled wave guide that projects the Dolby Atmos height cue information off the ceiling . The ¾in custom titanium dome tweeter with high energy Neodymium magnet structure boasts frequency response up to 22kHz . With its dual 2½in Kevlar-reinforced pulp mid-bass drivers , the ATX100 can handle up to 125W of amplifier power at 8 Ohms .
To maximize the sound reproduction and minimise sound transmission to adjacent rooms , the ATX100 features a fully integrated acoustic back box . It leverages SpeakerCraft ’ s Acoustic Isolation Technology to minimise acoustic energy transfer to the mounting and surrounding surfaces . This acoustic decoupling allows listeners to hear more of the actual speaker and less of the sound that normally radiates from the mounting surface .
Featuring a distinctive design , Leon Speakers ’ new Seven series was developed in collaboration with renowned recording artists , producers , and acoustic engineers and uses high quality materials to produce great sound , captivating the casual listener and indulging the discerning audiophile .
Meticulously tested in Leon ’ s anechoic chamber at the company ’ s Ann Arbor facility , the maker says the series brings remarkable sound to casual listening and entertaining rooms , home theatres , and distributed audio systems , and can be customised to seamlessly integrate into any space .
Shipping begins in September with a number of models including the Timbre Seven bookshelf speakers , the Horizon Seven soundbar , the Profile Seven sidemount speakers and the Detail Seven on-wall speakers .

CAVD , aware of the increasing demand for invisible solutions , offers the Nakymatone speaker range . “ Plaster or wallpaper-over speakers are becoming ever more popular ,” says CAVD ’ s technical manager Wayne Hyde . “ The freedom to enjoy music throughout the home without seeing anything that resembles a loudspeaker is now a regular demand from interior designers and end users . The Nakymatone range meet that demand perfectly .”
There are four models of plaster or wallpaper-over speakers in the range , all have the same dimensions . Goed is a very good entry-level plaster-over speaker that features a riveted aluminium tuned back box and dual exciters to drive the music . For an even nicer sound , the next speaker in the range is the Mooi , which is ‘ worth selling up ’ to the more demanding customer . Echt produces the most realistic sound and combines a super tuned anodised , polished and welded black box with four top of the range exciters to produce beautiful music reproduction . Lastly there ’ s Twee which is a single speaker for stereo use in smaller spaces .
