Epson ’ s EB-1700 series weighs only 1.8kg
With boardrooms often being the location for key company meetings , announcements and presentations , B-Tech believe it is vital that display technology provides maximum impact to attendees in the room , and that its latest solutions bring style and convenience to work .
B-Tech ’ s business development manager Mark Walker explains : “ Collaborative office communications and quality presentation technology have seen huge growth in boardrooms over recent years and we have developed our mounting range accordingly .”
“ Gone are the days of a paper flipboard in the boardroom . With mobile touch screens and flushmounted displays now a common sight in many SMEs , we have recently launched our BT8312 mount which provides an ultra-slim profile for wall mounted screens . As well as reduced extrusion when mounted onto a wall , the mount allows for shallower recess mounting when flush solutions are required .”
Video Conferencing
B-Tech ’ s System X range is particularly useful for multiscreen Video Conferencing situations thanks to the use of single , wall mounted rails , saving time with the install .
Mark adds , “ We have purposely created our new floor stand range to provide a quality , high end aesthetic to top table presentations . What ’ s more , our new BTF range has a solution for any requirement , being able to mount displays quickly and easily , in portrait or landscape format as well as twin screen VC set ups with camera mounting .”
However , with boardrooms and meeting rooms all benefitting from displays , it sometimes makes sense to have a portability option . Mark explains : “ We fully understand that not all office boardrooms require fixed installations . To meet this need , we provide a wide range of trolley and stands that allow displays to be brought into the room when required – thus allowing screens to be used for company messages elsewhere in the building .”
B-Tech ’ s latest range of floor stand mounts , designed for boardrooms , use a newly developed BT8380-FSB base which provides total stability without the need to bolt or fix to the floor , and uses the company ’ s System X technology .
Changing Places
Epson thinks that the office as an environment is changing rapidly . Indeed , there is a strong case to argue that the physical office as a concept is running its course and will cease to exist eventually , to be replaced by remote working and the ‘ global office ’. A recent Epson survey found that the majority of respondents see no future for the physical meeting room at all – 71 % foresee virtual conferences and collaboration over networks taking precedence .
As more businesses operate on a global basis , sharp and precise visual interaction and collaboration will become a key issue . Video conferences and presentations will soon become one of the main ways workers share ideas and data amongst themselves , and having the right tools to run these is integral to business success .
Epson intimate that projectors , for example , have the ability to either make or break a conference call or visual presentation . A projector that improves the viewer experience by delivering clear , sharp , bright and colourful images at as big a size as possible is invaluable . Projectors that use 3LCD projector technology , such as the Epson EB-2000 series , will achieve this . The EB-2000 , by providing brightness levels of up to 5,500 lumens , ensures sharp images even with room lighting on .
In the future , a key feature for projectors will be their accessibility and portability . With the amount of remote devices expected to increase , projectors have to follow the lead of laptops , printers and other office equipment in becoming lightweight and easy to transport . The idea of a CEO having to lug around heavy , unwieldy equipment from meeting to meeting appeals to no one , neither does compromising on the performance of the projector for the sake of its size , however .
With this in mind , Epson offer the EB-1700 series which weighs only 1.8kg and is designed specifically for carrying , setting up and presenting in different locations . Yet it still offers the performance of a full-sized projector with 3,200 lumens Colour Light Output and 1080p resolution .
The EB-1400 series , as well as offering sharp display and interactivity , allows access to its Whiteboard mode from users of the same remote network , extending home working possibilities . Users can enter a dedicated digital whiteboard and participants can edit on screen , create additional slides , and then save , print or email the content , removing the need for a separate flipchart or whiteboard , saving on space and resources , and contributing to a truly digital workplace .
