Centralised System
A centralised system of AV distribution is a vital requirement for any conference room installation . Lindy ’ s Multi AV to HDMI Conference Table Connection Unit is , as its name implies , a solution designed to meet these requirements . Lindy ’ s connection unit can be installed into a conference room or boardroom table and provide multiple inputs , both analogue and digital , that can be connected via a single HDMI cable to a projector or large display .
The unit supports VGA , audio , Composite Video , Mini DisplayPort and HDMI connections . Built-in technology converts any analogue signals into digital . The connection unit also provides an Ethernet pass-through , for access to the local network in the absence of Wi-Fi , and a USB charging port for tablets and smartphones .
The low profile design features an integrated protection panel that hides and protects the connectors when not in use and ensures the Connection Unit fits seamlessly into any environment .

Communicating Without Commuting
According to Matt Risden , founder and operations director of Duratec AV , the customer sought a one-way video communications network , primarily to eliminate the need for staff attending the quarterly
‘ town hall ’ presentations by the CEO to gather together in a single location . He says : “ The new installation greatly reduces the company downtime associated with these presentations , but brings other benefits too . We have made eight channels available on each screen , offering Sky News and corporate digital signage content as well as access to live presentations as they happen . Screens can also be set up flexibly to run Skype calls and other facilities . The channel shown on each screen is selected centrally in the management system as required . No custom programming or third party controller needed to switch sources .”
ZyPerHD encoders ( transmitters ) and decoders ( receivers ) can easily distribute HDCP copy protected 720p or 1080p video from any source to an unlimited number of displays directly over a standard Ethernet switch .
