This uses the new Silicon Image chip set , delivering full 4K . The unit also has automatic D to A and A to D conversion with Dolby downmix to allow multichannel audio to be sent to rooms with an AV receiver and two-channel audio to be sent to rooms without , from the same source at the same time .
The HDBaseT balun has digital and analogue audio inputs allowing easy audio return from the TV over the same twisted pair cable . Crestron , Savant , C4 , RTA and BitWise drivers available .

Arm yourself with AMX
AMX by Harman continues to bolster its line-up with the new N2300 Series of 4K video over IP solutions . This addition adds a cost-effective 4K video distribution solution and with a bandwidth of less than 200 megabits per second ; users can distribute 4K video over existing Gigabit Ethernet networks with a latency of only one frame .
“ The new N2300 Series furthers AMX ’ s commitment to provide a full range of networked AV solutions ,” says Lee Dodson , Sr . director , enterprise marketing . “ AMX has a great range of 4K solutions and the N2300 Series takes that a step further , opening up 4K video over IP to even more customers at a lower price point and with incredibly low bandwidth and latency .”
AMX ensures simple installation of the N2300 Series with support for HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 .
“ Implementation of the AMX N2300 Series is as easy as ever ,” says Paul Krizan , product manager , Networked AV for Harman Professional Solutions . “ The use of the IP network for distribution allows for flexible and scalable system designs . Systems can be as small as a single encoder and decoder or grow to meet the requirements of a larger system simply by installing additional units .”
The N2300 encoders and decoders are PoEpowered and the products do not contain an internal fan for cooling , making them quiet also . Like other AMX Networked AV products , the N2300 Series has Native NetLinx capabilities for fast integration into Harman solutions . Additional features include keyboard / mouse support , RJ45 and SFP network connections , support for balanced and unbalanced analogue audio and RS232 and IR ports for device control .
The NMX-DEC-N2322 decoder is available as a standalone unit well suited for mounting behind a display , whilst the NMX-ENC-N2312 encoder is available both in standalone and card-based configurations , providing options for installation near a source or in a rack , using the AMX N9206 2RU Rack Mount Cage . The AMX N9206 holds up to six cards for a clean rack mount installation and optional consolidated power supply .
Antiference is also offering 4K UHD HDCP2.2 compatible products including a point to point extender and a four-way HDMI splitter . The HDMIE70P is an HDBase-T point to point extender with PoE allowing full HD quality signals to be sent up to 70m over a single CAT6 cable . 4K UHD quality signals can be sent up to 40m and the kit features by-directional IR control to enable the user to control the source from the remote location .
For those on a budget , or for shorter cable runs , Antiference says its HDMIE50L offers a strong solution for 1080p signal transfer . With an HDMI loop on the transmitter box for a local TV set and EDID management , this little set packs a punch . Over a single CAT6 cable , the signal transfer can be sent up to 50m to another location and handily the receiver is PoE . Other features include IR control to enable control of the source from the remote location and a cable distance optimiser to ensure ultimate compatibility .
It ’ s also worth talking to Antiference about its solution around Sky and in particular Sky Q . The MINIMOD HC line uses existing coax networks to send HD signals around a property . Basically , the approach creates a new TV channel from an HDMI source which can then be displayed within a Freeview EPG . However , the MINIMOD HC line can also come to the rescue of Sky customers who have up-graded from HD to Q . Antiference points out that the introduction of Sky Q has presented a problem for Sky users who use the RF2 port to distribute services to other rooms using coax . The new Sky Q receiver sees the end of the RF2 feature , so a device is required to distribute the content to other rooms in the home . The MINIMOD HC devices deliver a solution offering the customer the services as they were before . A
