Essential Install | EI Live! EI Live! Essential Evolution! From the creators of Essential Install Live!, a new national show for the smart building industry is launching. As from 2017, Essential Install Live! will rebrand to EI Live! and will move from a two-event regional model to a one event, two-day national show model. Designed to meet the ever more sophisticated and expanding needs of the smart home/building market, show organisers have taken the decision to direct efforts into a single, larger show to create the type of ‘must attend’ event the industry needs as it stands on the brink of serious expansion. Key Changes For 2017 And Beyond • A New Date And Opening Times The event will take place at Sandown Park and will move to May for 2017, providing a stronger date in terms of footfall. Slightly shorter show days for this two-day event will also be introduced with the show being open from 10am to 4pm. • Domestic And Commercial The show’s main focus will remain the domestic smart home sector, however organisers will target a larger number of exhibitors who offer products and services into the light commercial sector. • A New Show: Network Communications Live! Organisers will also use their footprint in other related sectors to create a complementary brand new show on the level below the main show floor entitled Network Communications Live! This area will focus on the growing market of specialist network cabling and network creation in the light and heavy commercial worlds. This initiative will provide a completely new element to the show as well as the attraction of potential crossover between the two sectors. Organisers can directly target this sector due to the company’s ownership of Network Communications News, the UK’s leading trade title on the subject. Show organisers have a direct route into this sector via its ownership of Electrical Contracting News, the UK’s number one trade title in that industry. • Increased Learning Opportunities An improved seminar theatre experience will also be developed, brining inspirational and forward thinking figures to provide insight into the future of the industry. This aspect of the show will also look to provide either certifications or qualifications that visitors can walk away from the show with, offering real and tangible benefits from attendance.
