CYP ’ s PUV-1082- 4K22 represents the the maker ’ s top of tree in this category support Ethernet natively , as well as fiber with optional SPF modules , at price that Crestron says is similar to competitor ’ s products that have less capability and are not secure .
CYP ’ s flagship range of matrixes are designed to offer reliability , but also a separate audio matrix , so they can de-embed audio from each HDMI source ( to go to a separate AV receiver etc .). Particularly useful when music and / or commentary might be different from what is being passed through the HDMI signal . Also , any audio source can be sent to any HDBaseT output .
For example , the PUV-1082-4K22 HDMI / HDBaseT Matrix supports the transmission of video ( resolutions up to 4K2K @ 60Hz , HDCP 2.2 , HDMI2.0 ) and multi-channel digital audio from 10 HDMI sources to eight HDBaseT outputs and two independent HDMI2.0 outputs . HDBaseT outputs allow transmission via a single CAT5e / 6 / 7 cable up to 100m , whilst the independent HDMI outputs support cable lengths of up to 10m . This model supports high resolution digital audio formats LPCM 7.1CH , Dolby TrueHD , Dolby Digital Plus , Dolby Atmos and DTS- HD Master Audio as well as 3D video content .
The independent audio matrix offers 14 audio outputs and 10 audio inputs which can also be used for de-embedding HDMI audio to the audio outputs and embedding audio to the HDBaseT and HDMI outputs . The audio CAT connections , along with compatible bi-directional audio modules ( PU-305BD-RX & PU-305BDA-RX ) allow integration with remote sources and remote audio zones . In addition , volume , mute , treble , bass and audio lip-sink correction control are available on all direct audio outputs . Optical Audio Return ( OAR ) Technology allows the optical input on the PUV-1530RX receiver to be routed back to the audio matrix .
LAN connectivity provides a 100BaseT network for smart TVs or games consoles in each zone . The matrix also has a handy built-in pattern generator which can be used to verify the video signal on any of its 10 output ports . The Power over HDBaseT ( PoH ) function provides power to compatible receivers .
Control is via manual selection buttons , IR , RS232 , Telnet or Web GUI . CYP adds that drivers for all the major control systems are available and RS232 pass-through is also supported to the receivers . The PUV-1082-4K22 is designed to be used with PUV-1530RX or PUV- 1510RX receivers that can utilise the PoH and LAN capabilities of the matrix . More information on the rest of the range is available direct from the maker .
Atlona has recently introduced new HDR-compatible 4K AV devices to market with its JunoX Series switcher and Rondo Series distribution amplifiers . Atlona ’ s strategy to address emerging 4K and HDR requirements in AV systems comes in the form of these three products which support 4K / UHD video @ 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling and HDMI data rates up to 18 Gbps . The JunoX Series ( AT-JUNO-451 ) is a 4x1 HDMI switcher well suited for applications requiring the latest generation of 4K / UHD and HDR sources and displays . It is compatible with all video resolutions , audio formats and colour space formats supported in the HDMI 2.0a specification and passes metadata for HDR content . The JunoX 451 is HDCP 2.2 compliant and features automatic input switching as well as delivering an HDMI Audio Return Channel for receiving digital audio from a television and includes a TOSLINK digital audio output for sending this audio to an AVR or sound-bar .
The JunoX 451 ’ offers EDID management features and can be controlled via Ethernet , RS232 and IR , including the handheld IR remote control with which it is sold . It is configured and managed remotely by the free Atlona Management System ( AMS ).
The Rondo 442 ( AT-RON-442 ) and Rondo 444 ( AT-RON-444 ) provide two-output and four-output distribution amplifier options , respectively ,
