The Mirage Audio System, from Autonomic and
available from Invision, is a turnkey, audiophile grade,
whole-home audio system. It supports high defi nition
music fi les, iTunes & WMP playlists and the most popular
streaming music services including Spotify, Deezer,
TIDAL, as well as local and international radio stations via
the TuneIn Radio Service.

Autonomic has completely redesigned its user
interface to blend room control with music browsing.
The Mirage Audio System can support up to 96
individual zones of audio, making it suitable for
everything from small residential projects to the largest
commercial environments.
At the heart of a Mirage Audio System is one of
Autonomic’s award-winning Mirage Media Servers
(MMS). Users can play multiple independent streams
of audio (up to six on the MMS-5A, or three on the
MMS-2A) using analogue, digital, or high defi nition USB
audio (HD-USB on MMS-5A only) for audiophile DACs
and high-end amplifi ers that have digital USB inputs.
The MMS offers advanced playback capabilities of
nearly every available audio format and will up-convert
or pass through full 192kHz/24-bit (MMS-5A), and 96
kHz/24 bit (MMS·2) Hi-res sampling rates.
Michael says the external power supply provides for
near silent operation and the fanless, passive cooling
design minimises heat generation; essential in a
crowded AV rack or comms cupboard.
The M-401e and M-801e amplifi ers handle the room
amplifi cation and audio routing responsibilities of the
Mirage Audio System.
OutClass says its media servers are a fantastic
solution for those who are looking to create their own
private movie and music server.
The server automatically rips and stores movies
and music from CD, DVD and Blu-ray discs but also
automatically downloads any media purchases from
iTunes and other online resources.
The product is only available to trade customers,
there are no retail prices and end users cannot buy
directly. This means that installers can create their own
retail pricing and the company says that trade accounts
with OutClass are securely protected.
With remote access OutClass can confi gure the
server at the time of install and afterwards with no need
to return to site. This is a lifetime service offered to
OutClass dealer with no charge.
For the last fi ve years, OutClass has used Apple TV as
the recommended player and the OutClass-V software
can unlock the server to play out to 20 independent
streams at once.
OutClass says: “The Apple TV is a great player
because most clients are already familiar on how to
use it and it is easy for you to setup and configure,
but sometimes you want a player that can play the
original uncompressed version of the movie with full
