Essential Install | Media Servers Kaleidescape constantly adds content to the store Serving Up A Storm In this world where content is so accessible, but not always reliable, EI takes a look at the friends that installers can count amongst their allies in making sure content is king and not clown. Strato, available from Pulse Cinemas, represents Kaleidescape’s fl agship product offering and is an award- winning product for 4K Ultra HD and HDR. It comes in three models: two with internal storage (6Tb or 10Tb) and one that has no internal storage at all called the Strato C which debuted this year. Strato C requires either a Strato with internal storage or a Terra movie server to operate. All content for Strato movie players comes from the Kaleidescape movie store. The Premiere line consists of movie servers and players which work together to offer a satisfying experience without having to ever handle physical discs. Recently, Kaleidescape introduced the 1U+ Movie Server to replace the 1U and is available with either 18Tb or 30Tb of storage capacity. The 30Tb model can store up to 800 Blu-ray movies. In the US, with almost all of the major studios’ content licensed, including several independent studios, Kaleidescape is constantly adding new content to the store. Pulse Cinemas says there are many ways in which installers can benefi t from training and Stephen Carr was recently appointed brand ambassador for Kaleidescape.
