Aquavision has introduced a new IP compatible range with the Nexus +
API . And for versatility , an optional overlay turns BRAVIA into a multipoint touch sensitive display . Integration is simple , with flexible mounting and versatile control options . There is also a Hotel Professional Mode allowing customisation and storage of advanced display settings . For the whole range , sizes come in 43in-100in and offer IP control via major control platforms . There is also a three year swap out warranty on the whole range . Also available later this year will be the Sony XE 9 Series , offering 4K HDR picture , brought to life by Sony ’ s Slim Backlight Drive + and 4K HDR Processor X1 Extreme . The XE94 / XE93 LED sets offer an ultra-thin profile and versatile swivel mount as well as Android TV functionality .
Invision also underlines another special relationship here as for Sony ( consumer and professional ), it is the only official distributor to the CI channel .
Sony ’ s BRAVIA concept has long been its flagship TV offering and Matt Laird , TV marketing manager , Sony UK & Ireland , highlights a few of the stand-out features of the recently announced BRAVIA OLED A1 Series . The A1 Series is designed to mix picture quality and a unique sound system . Matt says the series provides wide sound and image synchronisation and offers a unique stand-less form factor with no distraction from the picture . The A1 Series also features the company ’ s X1 Extreme processor to drive image quality . Perhaps the most unusual feature is Sony ’ s Acoustic Surface technology that vibrates the display and enables sound to be heard directly from the TV screen , effectively turning the screen into the main speaker . Those with long memories will remember this being tried with some of the very earliest demonstrations of NXT technology , the concept that was a springboard for the invisible speaker category . By using this approach , Sony has created a TV that needs no stand or bezel , but
is also looking to deliver a closer union between screen and sound . The 4K BRAVIA OLED A1 Series is available in 55in , 65in and 77in .
Sony also highlights its delivering of 4K , Android and HDR to enhance viewing experiences ; the company fully expects the spread of and demand for 4K to really kick in during 2017 . Introducing its first OLED Series in the A1 , Sony however still believes LCD has a big future and will continue with its LCD BRAVIA models . However , Matt says that the company does expect the OLED market to continue to grow and set new standards promoting enhanced picture quality .
Also available from Invision , Aquavision has recently introduced its 2017 line up , which includes new full IP control on the new Nexus + range .
Developed specifically for the smart home , the five new models enable the TV to integrate with other products controlled by the system in multiroom environments . Alastair Benn , Aquavision ’ s managing director , explains : “ There is enormous consumer demand for whole house control and this is set to grow even bigger in the coming years . In order to satisfy this requirement and with the widespread adoption of IP and PoE , the installer community needs a dependable connectivity solution that can be implemented easily , quickly and economically . Our new range ticks all the boxes .” The Nexus + range also has Freesat HD and Freeview HD receivers and is available in 16in , 22in , 27in , 32in and 42in and larger models , 55in , 65in and 85in in the Elite 4K UHD range with the identical features . The 4K Ultra HD format offers 178 ° viewing angles and strong picture quality , says the maker , and as with all Aquavisions , the array of glass finishes and frames is wide . There are three frame styles to choose from : Frameless , Classic and Silhouette . The four glass finishes are Black , Polar White , MirrorVision and Mirror Vision +, a model with no visible signs of a screen when the television is off .
The maker says set up is fast and simple via the range ’ s compatibility with most home control systems with the help of the discreet IR , IP and RS232 controls .
The company is excited to be offering the convenience of IP control to partner its other more established features such as heated screens , IP66 rating and a two-year inhome warranty as standard ( in the UK ).
LG was one of the first mainstream brands to recognise and build for the CI channel . Still offering much to interest the installer with OLED screens and other tech , LG is looking to keep the interest flowing with new additions to the range . When a full Dolby Atmos system is not possible or desired , the maker is looking to compensate by building Dolby Atmos tech directly into its OLED TVs . This is the first time Dolby has developed an Atmos solution for televisions and it is designed to complete the viewing experience with an immersive , enveloping and accurate audio experience , says LG .
