Aquavision Moves Home
Aquavision , in-wall and waterproof television specialist , has moved its headquarters , factory and warehouse to new larger premises in Stockport near Manchester .
The company outgrew its previous premises and can now boast a 10,000 sq ft facility , nearly four times larger than the

previous one . The relocation follows a significant increase in business over the last 12 months .
Alastair Benn , MD of Aquavision commented : “ Quadrupling the size of our premises means we will be able to achieve significant productivity improvements . We expect the benefits to be seen right across the business from improved workplace facilities such as heating , ventilation and natural light to dedicated R & D , service and production areas to mechanical lifting equipment for larger screens and a loading area for 40ft articulated lorries .”
Aquavision has also taken on seven new members of staff including Phil Biggin , who as production manager , will be responsible for the new production staff and Clare Boucher who joins the company as customer service and internal sales manager .
“ We needed premises that would give us the extra space to grow and accommodate both the increased business and additional staff . By the summer , we will also have completed our new in-house training facility and showroom . Over the coming months , we will be announcing new Aquavision models and products together with a vigorous marketing plan and new website ,” concluded Alastair .

CEDIA Reveals Training Plans For 2017 And Sells Its Show
CEDIA has released its first set of dates for its training and education programme for 2017 . Alongside its most popular lighting and design courses , exam certifications and manufacturer and distributor training , CEDIA has revealed two brand new business focussed courses to its 2017 education scheme .
CEDIA has a big year ahead , adding to training and handing over the reins of the CEDIA US show
CEDIA ’ s newly formed , one-day business courses , ‘ Developing a Competitive Commercial Strategy for Your Business ’ and ‘ Consultative Selling Skills Training ’, have been designed to arm attendees with the key tools required to maximise business opportunities and success in the home technology industry .
‘ Developing a Competitive Commercial Strategy for Your Business ’ is aimed at established and start-up businesses and explores the skills required to develop , implement and deliver a robust business strategy that can make or break a commercial business . Developed for sales personnel and managers , ‘ Consultative Selling Skills Training ’ encourages attendees to maximise business opportunities by effectively selling premium solutions .
CEDIA also aims to offer more accessible training across the UK , confirming that for 2017 five training classes are already booked at Unicam in Leeds , whilst six courses are set to take place at AWE headquarters in Epsom , Surrey . The rest of the training sessions are hosted at the CEDIA HQ in St Neots .
CEDIA has released the 2017 Training and Curriculum Guide which lists the full training programme for the year . Full details are available online .
CEDIA also has announced the sale of its US based trade show to Emerald Expositions for an undisclosed sum . The association will retain ownership and control of the educational programming of the event and will work with Emerald on the overall direction and focus of the show , slated for September 5-9 in San Diego .
Emerald is the largest trade show organiser in the world and CEDIA will be looking to exploit the reach and power of this trade event specialist , whilst freeing itself to concentrate solely on delivering member benefits and training . CEDIA members will retain the same benefits , now including free access to the show and reduced rates on training and preferential access to hotel blocks based on join date .
2017 will be a transitional year operationally as CEDIA will continue to manage many facets of the show , working alongside the Emerald team . Beyond 2017 , Emerald will be responsible for all operational aspects of the show excluding educational programming and the CEDIA Awards event .
