TRIAX offers a
range of ‘hands on’
training courses
At a time of increasing change within our industry, training
and education is essential if you want to keep abreast of
the latest technology, design and installation techniques.
The CAI offers a comprehensive education & skills
portfolio with the objective of ensuring that companies
have the opportunity to keep themselves and their
employees fully up to date with the latest technologies
and techniques. The CAI says it also provides its
customers with the best possible standard of service.
The CAI’s intense programmes are designed to
develop skills and competencies necessary to meet
the demands of the aerial and systems installation
industry. Its programmes are delivered by professionals
with real hands on experience in the industry at well-
equipped centres around the UK. CAI programmes
give attendees practical applications, not just the theory
and give a full understanding of the best practices. The
qualifications gained are industry recognised and there
is no commercial bias. Training programmes include
Basic Aerial & Satellite Installation, Fibre Optics in Signal
Distribution and Basic Home Networking & Connectivity.
TRIAX provides expert training for professional
installers and support staff. With specially developed
training programmes covering a wide range of TRIAX
solutions, courses are designed to enhance the expertise
of its install partners.
Topics range from HDMI, CCTV, dSCR, IPTV and IRS,
including use of TRIAX system planning software, Design
On-Line. Courses are available from basic to intermediate
and advanced level and are delivered with targeted
learning outcomes. Participants also receive a certificate
following course completion.
Tony Ashton, TRIAX UK training and technical support
manager says: “Whether it’s learning to configure and
operate TRIAX product solutions, or supplying on-going
installation support, our ‘hands on’ philosophy is designed
to enhance both the installer and end user experience.”
Tony continues: “Training can be conducted either
at the TRIAX UK Training Academy in South Wales or
at customer premises with our highly experienced
engineers. For those able to visit the TRIAX UK Training
Academy you’ll experience dedicated facilities loaded

optimise your valuable time.”
The Meridian Audio ‘Dealer School’ is Meridian’s new
and expanded training programme designed to give
installers the full range of skills and knowledge they need
to integrate AV technology within the home and deliver a
premium experience for their clients. The Dealer School
programme features new dedicated training on four key
areas – Meridian Basic Setup, Meridian Advanced Setup,
Home Cinema Essentials and Meridian Sooloos.
All courses are free for dealers to attend and each take
place over one day. These new sessions complement
Meridian’s popular CEDIA Certified Two Channel and
Multi-Channel Master Classes which are also available as
part of the programme.
“Attending ’Dealer School’ will help fast-track learning
for integrators in new, important areas,” says Hugo
Fitzjohn, technical education and sales support manager
at Meridian. “This represents a significant expansion
in the support that we offer to those dealers who are
as committed as we are to providing a premium audio
visual experience.”
Meridian Basic Setup focuses on introducing dealers
to the basics of Meridian’s technology and giving
them a thorough grounding in everything they need
to know about the Meridian product range. Through a
combination of classroom teaching and practical hands
on experience, dealers will be able to assemble and
configure basic Meridian systems with confidence and
expertise. Meridian Advanced Setup is a similar but more
in-depth session.
Home Cinema Essentials will cover the fundamental
principles of designing a high quality home cinema,
including working with screens, projectors, acoustic
treatment solutions and audio solutions. On the
Meridian Sooloos course, dealers can learn about
Meridian’s music management platform and how it
can be implemented and integrated within projects to
provide hi-res audio content.
Meridian will continue to offer its training sessions
at leading industry events; at CEDIA San Diego, Hugo
will be presenting ‘Hi Res in the Home Theatre’, showing
integrators how to achieve phenomenal sound and
provide the very best audio experience.
