Good news, this dish is naturally lactose-free. There is no milk, cream or butter, just bold flavour from soya sauce, lime, chilli & honey.
It is a great option for anyone avoiding dairy without needing to adjust the recipe or compromise on taste or texture. gluten-free swap:
To make this dish gluten-free, simply swap soya sauce for coconut aminos.
Also check your fish sauce label, as some brands may contain traces of gluten.
The flavour stays just as rich, savoury & balances with this easy switch. keto swap:
For a lower-carb or keto-friendly version, replace the rice noodles with courgette noodles.
Swap the honey for a low-carb sweetener like erythritol.
You will keep the sweet-savoury balance while significantly reducing the carb content.
