Circles of joy
T
here are many reasons to visit Potatohead Beach Club
as our review of Lilin restaurant on page 50 helps to
prove. But in addition to spending a hedonistic day or
visiting one of its restaurants the iconic venue also runs a
series of Sun Down Circle events you won’t want to miss out
on. The number one underground music event in Bali has
already hosted luminaries such as Mr Scruff, Young Marco,
Ivan Smagghe and legend Roy Ayers. For its Easter event
the party lasted all day with music, art, food and culture in
its famous beach-side setting. Essential Bali paid a visit and
it was a great event with cool lighting and food stalls to go
with top tunes. There have been seven such events so far
and Pototohead will host at least one per month so keep
an eye on its website and Facebook page.
