s intimated, the variety of
food on show is diverse
and even the fussiest of
eaters should find something to
please their palate here. Essential
Bali is a sucker for and expert on
cold cuts and cheese plates and
theirs didn’t disappoint. Cheese
is hardly a prevalent foodstuff
around here so we think it’s a
worthwhile measure of quality.
Food from the various cooking
areas can be ordered to your
taste and delivered to your
table, including a pasta bar
in addition to those already
mentioned. And, inevitably, there
are desserts. Sometimes we just
want to come to brunch and eat
nothing else and the platters of
sweetness were again offering
far more than is good for you.
The drinks packages come in
two forms, a basic 250,000 Rp ++
freeflow for Bintang, limited wines
and cocktails or 500,000 Rp ++
premium package that will be of
particular interest to champagne
lovers. In addition to premium
wines and cocktails there was
Moët and Chandon Imperial
and at that price it’s one of the
best champagne bargains on
the island.

The Verdict
Variety and value are the two
words that spring to mind here.
‘Something for everyone’ is a
cliché we try to avoid using but
