he burger lovers of Hong Kong
have been raving about The
Butchers Club for years and Bali
is now blessed with their stupendously
succulent offerings as the island is the
first step in their Asian expansion. This
really is a burger for the purist: 100+
day grain fed Australian beef that is
dry aged for 20 days and the result is
simply delicious.
‘Beers, burgers, bourbon’ is a simple
but brilliant mantra and that simplicity
extends to the menu with a choice
of five burgers, duck fat fries and a
choice of liquids to wash them down
with. The Burger is an awesome

standalone option with this meat,
the Wu Tang spices it up a bit, while
there’s a Captain Ahab barramundi
burger or a Vegetarian for those who
don’t want beef. Finally there’s the
Double Happiness – twice the burger
goodness. We’re in love with all five of
them already.

here’s not much we enjoy more
in our downtime than to sit
around watching some sport,
eating a good burger washed down
with an ice-cold Bintang. And good
burgers are something Lilzbah prides
itself on. This sports bar and burger
barn hides a light under its bushel in
the form of an epic menu of meaty
treats amidst other dishes. Our
favourite is the honey pulled pork with
apple slaw that melts in your mouth.
The Hickory Burger is another that
teases us with its smoky goodness
but while there’s enough variety on
the burger menu to confuse us one
thing’s for sure – the chips are a cut
above most on the island with the
skins still on the potatoes offering
some bang for your potato buck.
And if the sport you want to watch
isn’t on when you walk in just ask;
they’ll find it for you while you’re
wrestling with the menu.
