Everyone might say, if it’s so risky why it was permitted for too many years. As we said earlier all the studies scientists made used rats or other animals, but not humans and in very small quantities so the FDA do not take seriously the results of the reports. According with Dr. Josh Axe, from draxe.com, on his article “Splenda Side Effects” in 2013, “the FDA approves a lot of things that later are pulled off the market once enough people die like cyclamate and Vioxx”

But according to Lisa Lefferts, a senior scientist with CSPI, in a yahoo news article called “Splenda May Not Be So Splendid After All” in June 2013,“We have the abstract of the study and what the laboratory said about leukemia. We don’t have the full data yet. That’s why we put ‘caution’ instead of ‘avoid.’ When there is evidence that something causes cancer, we take that pretty seriously. [Sucralose] caused cancer in the animals. We thought that we should pass that information on.”

And so The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) has reduced Splenda´s status from a “safe” ranking to “caution” in its Chemical Cuisine guide.

When she said “caution” she means that is a substance that might be risky and needs to be better verified by professional scientists, not telling us to avoid it but to try to avoid it. We all may know and understand about this new investigation about the famous no calorie sweetener “Splenda.” Most people around the world in diets with the goal of loosing weight usually used this sweetener and they all should be aware about it because it is not too safety yet. One of the greatest ways for people to miss weight is to use natural sweeteners instead of sugar, Splenda or any other artificial sweetener. Most healthy people have used natural sweeteners to keep their food and drinks with sweetness. There are many natural sweeteners such as Honey, Stevia, Maple Syrup and Blackstrap Molasses, which are healthful for our bodies. We are not sure if this type of substances could affect are health, but we are sure we are in risk so we need the have prevention and try to avoid artificial sweeteners such as Splenda.
