Since its launch in 2022 , the Cooking & Cocktails Series has been a fan favorite , taking Esplanade ’ s National Manager of Food , Beverage and Culinary Experience , Patrick Scully , across the country to share his expertise and passion with those inspired by the culinary world .
Each installment of this interactive culinary demonstration features a tasting of a classic dish paired with a curated wine selection or other spirited refreshment . This series has been designed to not only elevate each participant ' s culinary skills but has also become a way for them to “ break bread ” and come together over a shared appreciation for the diversity of cultures and cuisines . From crafting gourmet dishes to mastering the art of pairing wines and cocktails , this series offers something for every inspired culinarian .
The Concept Behind The Series
Each session is thoughtfully crafted to be more than just a cooking demonstration ; it ’ s an opportunity to learn about the history , techniques , and cultural significance behind each dish or cocktail . Moreover , the program is tailored to fit the diverse needs of each Esplanade community , ensuring that each community , regardless of size and scope , can participate and connect with each other .

The Cooking & Cocktails Series provides a rich opportunity to bond with fellow members , with each session structured to encourage collaboration and conversation . Each demonstration is hosted by Patrick and / or experienced chefs and mixologists who bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to each class .
