EMERGENCY APPEAL The NHS has built the Nightingale hospital in the London Excel centre in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and need non-clinical volunteers to help. This is a paid role that requires the volunteer to stay in one of the hotels on-site (covered by NHS) and self-isolate when returning home. This is a really important and fulfilling role that directly supports front-line clinical staff and aids the success of this project in treating this pandemic. Keep an eye on our social media and this link for up to date information on this exciting role: https://nhsvolunteers.generationmedics.org.uk/nhs-nightingale-hospital-volunteers/ Share this scheme to everyone and make sure to tag us on social media so we can see what fantastic stuff you get up to! Wow what an amazing night. The last LMSS event within 2m of each other this year! We were so lucky to be able to have the event with everything considered, and thanks to the hard work of our officers! We started off with a lovely drinks reception and lots of photos (if you haven’t seen them check them out on the event or the LMSS 3rd years page), accompanied with a smooth jazz band. Then came the food, we expected Adelphi-level food, but we got Maray-level food- what a change to have vegetarian food that isn’t risotto! Next we had the highly anticipated awards! There were a few surprises, but it was great to see everyone shout-out to Ed Routh who received a nomination for every category (including Miss Shagability) . c h e e r i n g f o r e a c h o t h e r, s p e c i a l Taxis Kindly submitted by Bethany Conlon 3 r d Ye a r WILLIAM BEDSON 3RD YEAR As you can imagine, the rest of the night was s p e n t o n t h e d a n c e f l o o r, w e l e f t t h e I s l a Gladstone in a Happy Al’s rowdy coaches, leaving behind the dinner shoes and putting on the dancing shoes (thanks to our shoe deposit box) to head to Rev’s St Peter’s square.
