WHAT IS SOIL MECHANICS?

According to Terzaghi Karl says: Soil mechanics is the application of the laws of mechanics and hydraulics to engineering problems that they treat with sediments and other unconsolidated accumulations of solid particles, produced by the mechanical disintegration or the chemical decomposition of the rocks, independently of whether they have organic matter or not. (pg 134)
