ESOL Elective courses can be scheduled to help students get ready for more advanced core classes or scheduled concurrently with a core class as a support. Course Description: This course supports and enhances literacy and listening skills necessary for success in the content areas. Guiding the course are the five basic WIDA Standards with particular emphasis on vocabulary, speaking, listening, and reading skills in social studies.
