RBGE is a scientific centre for the study of plants, their diversity and conservation, as well as a popular tourist attraction. In June 2012 I and my wife took our friend to Edinburgh airport. By chance I remembered about the botanic garden in Edinburgh which I wanted to visit for years. So we decided to go there. The Botanic garden is a big park with the links of Palm houses in the middle. The Palm House is the name for big Green House or Glass House. Each Palm house represents an individual climatic zone and is filled with a variety of different plants. Every Palm House has its own range of temperature and humidity. The admission to the park is free but you have to pay to enter the Palm Houses and price for adult £4.50, child £1, family £9. It can be a pleasant day out for the family or for someone who is interested in flora and fauna. By Timur Kharisov, Alina Vinogradova
