Happy childhood memories Have you had a happy childhood? Now you say Well I guess…………………… Childhood memories are special for everyone. As for me I had a happy child hood. Gornica village is my favourite place, where I spent my beautiful childhood. At that time there weren’t computers, but we still had fun. I enjoyed hiking with a tent and visiting beautiful places. I used to eat fried potatoes on the fire and sang a song with a guitar. I played the game ‘Cops and robbers’ with my friends. I used to cycle a lot, especially at night, seeing the sunset. Tempting, isn’t it? Oh yes, books. I used to read books. I can say that I ‘swallowed’ them. I got to know life through them. The books taught us to tell right or wrong and to understand friendship. I knew they helped to pretend we’d travelled in the past, future and many wonderful places that we couldn’t visit in reality. Listen and learn. You ask me, why I’m writing about it? When we were young we had more time to play with toys and friends. We didn’t have heavy problems to think about. We tried to ride bicycles, we tried to catch grasshoppers and we even played with mud and sand. In winter, we stuck our tongues to a metal pole. Beautiful, isn’t it? Don’t try to be an adult, most of the people like to think back to their childhood, especially when they are getting older. In conclusion, childhood is the best time for us to gain knowledge and understand life. By Karina Beitane
