>
>
a. The ARNG and USAR liaison personnel are attached to TRADOC service schools and major subordinate
commands to assist commanders with solving problems RC Soldiers encounter during training. They advise the chain
of command on Reserve Component unique matters related to separation actions. Final decisions regarding discharge

b. The IET cadre will promptly inform the appropriate and available ARNG and/or USAR liaison personnel of RC
Soldiers sustaining illness or injury in training, as well as administrative and disciplinary actions. The liaison
personnel will notify the appropriate chains of command of those RC Soldiers that are ill/injured, will receive awards
and honors, and ensure that advancements, reductions and UCMJ punishments are provided to the appropriate RC
officials for proper posting in the RC data systems. RC liaison personnel will also be notified when separation action
is initiated so the RC chain of command is aware of the pending loss.
