The fabulous braised lamb shoulder was Braised lamb shoulders. slow-cooked and sticky and served with local sweet potato and chorizo croquettes, plus fluffy couscous, rukau (local taro leaves cooked in coconut cream), a salty olive tapenade, steamed vegetables, red pepper pesto, and jus. You must try it. We also had the twice cooked pork belly, which came with marquis potatoes, grilled local pineapple, caramelised red onions, vegetables, and a fig jus. The jus was exceptional, adding both sweet and tart flavours to an otherwise savoury dish. To finish we had the cheesecake, devastatingly simple, house made and served with fresh local fruit and a berry coulis. The chocolate and baileys fudge tiramisu was just as delicious, served with fresh local fruit and a divine vanilla ice cream. Laguna is situated in an idyllic setting and the food meets the standard set by the view. The restaurant can seat around fifty and is also available to hire for private events. It serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as holding a $20 lunch buffet daily (except Saturdays), and a special $35 barbecue buffet each Sunday evening from 6:00pm.
