ES 45 | Gas analysis for a more productive world
Joseph Ha
Market Segment Manager, Purity & Specialty
“ We know that customers have certain expectations around the lead times for gas analyzer products. With the fast-growing demand for our DF-700 moisture analyzers, it was clear that the previous capacity at the USTC couldn’ t keep up.
By using the enhanced electronics capabilities of the Gen-7 sensors, we have been able to innovate a solution that addresses this and allows us to keep customers supplied in a timeframe that meets or exceeds their expectations.
The success of the DF-700 nursery expansion project has also been applied to the new Gen- 7 DF-500 Coulometric cells, bringing the same benefits to our trace oxygen analyzers. Both the DF-700 and DF-500 fixtures are modular, allowing easy expansion to ensure production can adapt to customer needs in the future.”

“ The reduction in Chroma lead time is being delivered through increased productivity, the development of a manufacturing pull system that consistently creates value and flow at each process step, tiered daily management, and rapid escalation of issues. Effective problem solving is now central to the established process used across manufacturing.
“ Building upon this productivity improvement, we have invested in infrastructure and resources to scale up the manufacturing process, creating extra capacity and building quality at source at every stage of the process. All employees are being developed through structured training and supported by subsequent coaching by product experts.”

“ The Chroma range requires great experience and hardware to produce. We push the boundaries of what is possible, so you cannot cut corners. But we believe
quality is worth waiting for.”
