KIRSCHBAUM brand has some good news for the 2019 !
One of the brand new polyester string for the new year to come is called KIRRSCBAUM X-PLOSIVE SPEED
and we're going to test the 1.25mm version.
If the name is not casual, we're expected to find a tennis string with a very strong power oriented attitude, with
a lively response and fast exit from the stringbed.
The static traction test from 5 to 35kg evidences a variable response of the string, getting stiffer and stiffer with
the load increase. The string is very soft at lower tensions getting harder and harder with the tension increase
with a behavior similar to polyamide strings, probably due to the elastomers used in the co-polyester mixture.
If you use it in the middle 20-24kg range you will find a very soft and comfortable string. Going up with the
stringing tension, from 26 to 30kg will obtain a stiffer stringbed with the sensation of a rigid, nervous and rock
solid racquet.
