Welcome back to the first issue of Pro Tour Stringer
for 2019. I have had a busy January working in
Melbourne with many of our members. See the
article in this issue. Many of our members are also
stringing Davis Cup and Fed Cup in February all
over the world.
We saw many new rackets at the Australian Open
including the new Head Instinct and Yonex Vcore
Black. We have an introduction in this issue on these
with the technical data on the different models.
The new Luxilon Smart showed up with a few
players there. Please check out the lab test on this
string.
In March, ERSA will give their first workshop in
South Africa. We will announce a new manager and
tester after the workshops.

Also, in May, ERSA will give their first workshop in
Istanbul, Turkey. Emre Tekmir, our manager and
contact in Turkey, is organizing everything and
translating the Guide, Study Guide and tests into
Turkish.
ERSA will be offering a certification test for racket
tuning starting this year. We have many members
suggesting we do this and are now writing the
guidelines for the workshops and the certification.
We have a great Symposium planned for April.
Please sign up early as we can
only block the rooms off until
March 1. Contact the ERSA
or Paul Skipp and Mark Good-
man in the UK if you have
any questions concerning the
Symposium, travel, and rooms.
Looking for to seeing many of
you in April.
Best regards
Mark Maslowski
