Dear Members,
Welcome to Issue 5 of Pro Tour Stringer. Not much going on
with workkshops and certification this month. Most of the
managers and testers are stringing at tounaments around
the world.
Staff changes in the ERSA this summer.
1. Welcome to Rob Leahy as the new manager for Ireland. Rob
is now teaching in the middle east and will be moving back to
Ireland in the near future. He is an experienced player, coach
and stringer with great plans for Ireland.
2. Brazil will be managed from the ERSA main office with three
Teacher/Testers in Brazil. We are trying this out because of
the size of Brazil and distance between the cities.
The three teachers will be Ricardo Dipold, Priscilla Mendes
and Marcelo Ferreira. This will give more options to our
members with dates and cities to partake in workshops and
certification.
The 2019 ERSA Symposium will take place in the UK next
April, 2019. We will update everyone as soon as the venue
and room prices are fixed. We have already a large number
of members signed up so please send your name into us as
a pre-registration in case we are overbooked. We just had
enough places and rooms in Milan this year with every room
in the hotel booked.
The next issue of Pro Stringer will include a tennis playtest.
We are looking for more playtesters in tennis, badminton and
squash. If interested, please send your name, sport and mail
address into our office. You will
receive unmarked sets of strings
to string and test over a five week
period, at which time you will fill
out a questionaire on stringing
and playing.
