Nick Down, ERSA Squash Manager gave the first new ERSA
Master Professional Squash test this month.
“Jon Sharpe, aka the String doctor, from the Uk. Jon’s been
stringing for a while, is a Squash coach and at least one
of his children is an international squash player. Yesterday
Jon passed the newly formed, ERSA Master Professional
Squash Stringer level 1 test, which has replaced the previ-
ous Ersa MRT (Squash) test. Whilst there are other Holders
of the various Squash certifications, I think Jon is the first
to hold this particular award anywhere in the world.”
Thanks to Nick for all the work writing the new tests.
Nick is also running a workshop in the Netherlands in July
set up be Dimitir Kaijser, ERSA Pro Tour Stringer, which will
include the new tests which he has re-written for squash
to match the tennis and badminton tests.
ERSA UK
Set up at the National Tennis Centre, Roehampton, at the LTA National
Coaches Conference, hoping to attract new members.
Thanks to Nick Down, Paul Skipp and Huw Phillips for the great work
they are doing. We are looking forward to them, along with Mark
Goodman to help organize the best Symposium we have run whick
will include much more squash and tennis next year.
