2018 ERSA SYMPOSIUM, MILAN, ITALY
6-10 APRIL 2018
The 2018 Symposium was the biggest and best ever. 75 people attended from North and South America,
Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Sponsors included all the major brands and many specialty companies.
Presentations were made on stringing, racket tuning, racket painting, grip moulding, tuning equipment along
with workshops the third day teaching everyone to do grip moulding (Ricardo Dipold), painting ( Nikki Roenn),
tuning (Gabriele Medri and Mark Maslowski), badminton stringing (Mark Goodman). Free private stringing
lessons were given to all the stringers after the courses everyday from some of the best stringers in the world.
Special thanks to Lucien Nogues for a great presentation on ball spin and topspin.
The Symposium took place in Sporting Milano 3 and everyone stayed in their hotel, Hotel Excel Milano 3.
Sporting Milano 3 is a luxury multi-sport facility with tennis (Indoor and outdoor courts) , paddle, squash,
indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis school with ex- ATP and Davis Cup players, fitness studio, fitness
courses, wellness, massage, physio and a very good restaurant.
We had great weather the first three days then rain came on the day we were to test rackets and strings on-
court. we had red clay courts booked outside but moved into the hall with the indoor courts.
Goody bags were supplied full with string and grip samples from all the companies attending. After his
presentation, Dennis Fabian of Head raffled off rackets, bags, string reels and the new Head Sensors. Even one
racket from Indain Wells autographed by Marin Cilic.
