Nike Names New Building After Serena Williams
Nike will name a new building that covers 1
million square feet after Serena Williams, and
a new fitness center after Duke basketball
coach Mike Krzyzewski.
The new buildings are part of Nike’s HQ
expansion in Beaverton, Ore. The building
named for the 23-time Grand Slam
champion, a Nike athlete since 2003, will be
the biggest on the campus and is slated to
be finished in 2019.
Oscar Nomination for ‘Battle of the Sexes’
The leading stars of the movie Battle of the Sexes, which premiered in September, were nominated for Golden
Globe awards. Steve Carell, who played Bobby Riggs, and Emma Stone, who played Billie Jean King, were
nominated for Best Performance
(Musical or Comedy).

With all of the training we have given in customizing, many members are offering these services to their
customers. We are offering at the 2018 Symposium new courses in Grip Moulding and Racket Painting. If you are
interested in offering these services to your customers, but not confident to do it yourself, some of our members
will do grip moulding and painting for your customers.
Widen your Expertise
At the 2018 Symposium we are offering Badminton
and Squash courses and certification. This could
be a new source of income for you at your shop.
It will at least put you one level above any of your
competition in your area. There are only a few
people in the world with tennis, badminton and
squash professional certification.
Upgrade you Shop
We were guilty of not modernizing our shops
for years. I made plans but due to tournament
stringing and workshops, I kept putting it off.
Since remodelling our shops, our sales have gone
up 20% this winter over last winter.
