www.ersa-stringers.com INDUSTRY NEWS DUNLOP SIGNS NEW EQUIPMENT CONTRACTS WITH A HOST OF ATP & WTA PLAYERS TO KICK OFF 2018 Dunlop announced new players Donald Young, Jamie Murray, Heather Watson as well as rising stars Bjorn Fratangelo, Taylor Townsend, Louisa Chirico and Dalma Galfi have all chosen Dunlop rackets as they embark on their 2018 seasons. “Our top priority heading into 2018 was to assemble a dynamic group of players who we know will be great ambassadors for our brand. We are extremely excited about this group of players who are familiar and emerging names to tennis fans,” said Kai Nitsche, VP and General Manager for Dunlop Sports Group Americas. “Kevin Anderson made it to the U.S. Open final with his CX 2.0 Tour LE, and so there was definitely a buzz on Tour about our rackets and the technology that goes into them. And today we’re pleased to share the news that Donald, Jamie, Heather, Bjorn, Taylor, Louisa and Dalma have all joined Team Dunlop.” Donald Young (USA) Over the past several years, 28-year-old Donald Young has cemented a spot on the ATP Tour with his consistent play as one of the top American players. Entering 2018 he rests at number 61 and will look to improve upon his 2017 second round result in Australia. Racket: CX 2.0 Jamie Murray (GBR) Jamie Murray is one of the most successful British doubles players of all time with a string of Grand Slam and ATP titles under his belt. He also re-wrote history by helping Great Britain win the Davis Cup in 2015 for the first time since 1936. A former Dunlop player, Murray re-joins the brand hoping to add more trophies to his name and emulate his 2016 season where he reached no.1 in the world rankings. Racket: CX 2.0 Bjorn Fratangelo (USA) 24-year-old Bjorn Fratangelo will look to start 2018 positively with the aim of getting back into the Top 100 (he currently rests at 110).
