STRINGWAY light weight stringing machine
The request for a light weight stringing machines comes from the professional players who travel from
tournament to tournament.
Players have a number of reasons why they want to string their own racquets:
- To save cost.
- The difference in stringing result between stringers of different st ringing services. - To be able to adjust the
string bed to different circumstances, like court and balls.
The major motivator of the project is our French agent who works a lot with young tennis pros. He motivates
these players to string their own racquets.
The features of the machine are:
- The “constant pull” tension system works with a
spring like with the Stringway foot operated MS200.
A spring is a very reliable and accurate “constant Pull”
driver because it can compensate for minimum loss
of tension during slow elongation of the string. And
it can not “overshoot” the adjusted tension like many
electronic systems do.
- It is very easy for the stringer to check and calibrate
the stringing tension.
A calibrator is supplied with the machine and the
calibration screw comes out of the frame when the
lever is lifted.
- Tension head with automatic lock in the starting
position and automatic release of the lock when a
string is clamped in the tension head.
- The weight of the machine is 7,3 kg including 2 flying
clamps.
- The tension is adjusted with the handle at the end
of the frame and with a scale on top of the frame.
- The tension can be raised or lowered for single pools
in 0,5 kg steps with the small (red) handle behind the
tension adjusting handle.
- The turntable can be locked in 6 positions.
