NEW 2018 BABOLAT TENNIS SHOES
Speed, agility, stability, support, comfort, and lightness are shoe qualities sought after by tennis players. For 15
years, Babolat has been designing and developing tennis shoes to meet the speci c needs of the sport. Thanks
to its partnership with Michelin, Babolat continues to innovate in this category, and this year offers a new high
performance product: Babolat JET MACH II. An evolution of the previous model, the new JET MACH II will allow
players to go even faster to the ball, to always be quicker than their opponents on the court.
The JET MACH II embodies innovation to enhance performance. This shoe is primarily for players who really want
to feel the court: its lightness - barely 300 grams - will allow players to be quick on their feet and arrive even
faster to the ball.
The challenge of a light shoe is to ensure good support. Composed of Kevlar and four straps of Polyamide ber,
the reinforced upper (top part of the shoe) wraps the foot to ensure a uniform t during lateral movements
(Matryx® 2.0 technology) for even more stability and support.
Cushioning is also a strong point of the JET MACH II. In tennis, players’ feet hit the ground at a 30° angle. That’s
why Babolat has developed a new shock absorption system (KPRS-X) made of EVA material positioned further
to the rear of the shoe to better cushion the heel during tennis speci c movements.
Also new this year, the JET MACH II sole is designed with Michelin Premium DIN20 technology, bringing improved
abrasion resistance and increased traction necessary to stand up to the demands of tennis footwork.
Along with Federico Delbonis (ARG) and Evgeny Donskoy (RUS), Ryan Harrison (USA) has just chosen to play with
the JET MACH II shoes.
