Erasmus + Mobility in Spain | Page 2

DAY 1

Our day started at 3:15am near the sport's hall, there we entered into the cars on which we travelled quite a long time till we reached Krakow. We

arrived at the airport around 7 to 8am. Our flight was scheduled at 9:30am. We flew with Ryanair, it took about 3 hours and 30 minutes to arrive at the Valèncian airport. The flight was quite alright. Some of us were scared, but of course everything turned out fine in the end. When we arrived in València, the

Swedish group was already waiting for us there. We boarded the bus with them and

travelled to Castellón to visit the Biopark, and this is how our interesting and exciting

program began.

SOMETHING ABOUT CASTELLÓN…

Now let's read something about the main town we stayed in - Castellón. Nestled in the heart

of the beautiful region of Valencia, Castellón de la Plana is known for its rich history, stunning

architecture, and vibrant culture. It is home to several beautiful beaches along the Costa del

Azahar. Visitors can enjoy the sun, sand, and crystal-clear waters here, even we visited the

beach later in the week. The sunset was beautiful there. It is also known for its lively festivals

and celebration. The local language spoken in Castellón de la Plana

is Valèncian. Valèncian, a variety of Catalan, is widely spoken in the region and contributes

to the city’s unique linguistic and cultural identity. They even teach it in schools!

Did you know that València means valour or bravery? The Spanish city got its name

in 138BC after the Romans recognised the bravery of the soldiers and called it

Valentia Edetanorum
