Figure 21(A) and (B): Axial T1 with fat and TIRM images showing a well defined
lesion in the deep portion of the parotid gland. The lesion is hypo intense on T1 and
hyper intense on TIRM pleomorphic adenoma, this is a good example to differentiate
if the lesion is in the PPS or deep parotid space, as seen in the T1 image above the
lesion is not surrounded by fat only on the medial aspect unlike a PPS lesion which is
surrounded completely by fat on all margins.
