happiness and relief that the work up until this point was good, but that there is still work to be done.
“We all gelled very quickly and we’ve already got a good relationship already. I’m really looking forward to the future and I’m going to take some time and enjoy this moment, as it hasn’t quite sunk in yet.
“Joining endurance racing two years ago, I’d never have thought that two years later that I would be standing on the podium at Silverstone as a works Porsche driver. It’s a real dream come true, and we never thought that we’d be on the podium at this point already. The goal was always to chip away in preparation for Le Mans 2015, but to have this result so early was a great start for everyone.
“There is still a lot of potential to unlock from the car itself, so we’re all excited for the future.”
Brendon also said that the project is ambitious, but is greatful to work alongside Mark and Timo, especially with the experience that they both have. It shows that even in the infancy of a program, where Porsche is taking their first steps, they have clearly shown to be the most important ones when it comes to potentially taking the fight to both Audi Sport and Toyota Racing in the months and years to come.
