In Memoriam
Nigel Vaulkhard
(1948 -2014)
There was also another major loss to the sports car and touring car worlds respectively, as Craft-Bamboo Racing co-founder Nigel Vaulkhard passed away due to the injuries he suffered after a mountain biking accident on Wednesday 30th April.
The outfit, who entered the WEC this season with the trio of Darryl O'Young, Alex MacDowell and Fernando Rees associating itself with Asian racing entity Craft Racing for an assault on the championship, was founded by Vaulkhard and Richard Coleman back in 2009.
Bamboo decided to firstly enter the BTCC back in late 2008, with Nigel's son Harry racing for one season, before they decided to compete in the WTCC, with MacDowell and James Nash helping the team to finish third in the WTCC last year and win the independent champions.
E-Racing would like to send their condolences to all at Bamboo and to Nigel's family at this time.
