Everything old is new again

The overhauls in world sports car regulations have been more akin to Cher's Oscars wardrobe change, but despite the apparent panic and upheaval, sports car racing is in relatively good shape. Manufacturers will always be changing their investment strategies and really the biggest trickle down effect will be how the permanent motor racing venues will deal with the loss of banner advertising that has switched to the nomadic Formula E venues.

That said, even Alejandro Agag has admitted that Formula E needs to keep both manufacturer teams and privateers happy so they don't risk themselves becoming the victim of the next big thing. It's a difficult area to negotiate when even the best laid plans can be undone by unforeseen events such as a 'diesel-gate'.

No amount of doomsday prepping can acount for those type of one percenters.
