LMP2 saw a last minute dash to gain ascendency, with the No.26 G-Drive Racing ORECA 05-Nissan of Roman Rusinov/Rene Rast and Nathanael Berthon eventually topping the field with a 1m47.024s. But again Signatech Alpine, Strakka and SMP Racing all looked strong over the weekend, suggesting there could be an out and out street fight amongst all classes this season.

On this note, Ferrari and Ford were also engaged in anarm-wrestle in LMGTE Pro; the balance of performance appearing to have done its job nicely. Aston Martin had a quiet test but will be fighting to get among the Ferrari and Ford entries, starting on home ground next month.

In LMGTE Am Adam Carroll continued Gulf Racing’s promising day by finishing ahead of the Ferrari, Porsche and Aston Martin entries.

LMGTE Am were in similar company, with AF Corse Ferrari, Aston Martin Racing, Gulf Racing Porsche, Larbre Competition and Abu-Dhabi-Proton Racing all within a shout of nabbing the silverwear over the course of the season.
