Strakka have resumed testing their Dome LMP2 coupe after aborting numerous entry attempts during the 2014 WEC season, after completing a three-day December test at Circuit Paul Ricard.
The Nissan-powered S103 ran 500km recently while conducting crucial long range tests.
"It's been great to get back out testing and squeeze in a proper outing with dry running before the Christmas break, said Team principal Dan Walmsley.
"All indications are that the car is now where it should have been, and the developments Strakka has led through the summer have worked. The drivers are reporting that it feels good, provides good confidence and responds to the changes we have made."
Team owner Nick Leventis, who shared testing duties with with Danny Watts and Jonny Kane at Ricard reported “excellent balance” from the S103, as well as “good speed figures at the end of the Mistral Straight."
Strakka have modified the S103’s headrest after homologation issues with the device prevented their entry into the final WEC round at Interlagos last year.
The team however intend to run a single entry in the entire 2015 WEC season.
