2013 was a big year for Allan McNish. Statistically, it was the most successful of the Scot’s career as he claimed his third victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans before finally clinching the World Endurance Championship in Shanghai. Having finally claimed an official world title for the first time, it came as a surprise to many that the 44-year-old decided to call it quits at the end of the season. However, as he explained in an interview with Luke Smith, it was actually a rather easy decision.
