I always dream
A day will come
Where we will all find peace.
No more death
And war and sin
The universe at ease.
But that can't happen,
They all say,
How could it anyway?
The world is suffering
In many different ways
We fail to see the beauty
That's right before our eyes
It runs through all the lands
And through the sea and skies
A gift of life and love
Bestowed by our Creator
Who gives us all things good
Without a return favor
But some of us
Out in the world
Let good turn into evil
Like harsh times of the past
In a dark, dark medieval
But one day
We'll see a world
Without toil or despair
One where all God's children
Are treated fair and square.
If you and I
Can change ourselves
And then look out to others,
Each heart will change,
Each love exchanged,
Like sisters and like brothers.
