I was five when choosing to ride with no wheels.
It brought me one step closer to driving my first automobile.
My dad was so glad for the change I chose,
I even came out of my room wearing biking clothes.
I hopped on the bike and said I was alright,
Although the wind decided to put up a great fight.
Dad gave me a push and I began to go whoosh.
The pedals were turning the gear as I steer with so much fear,
My dad is a shining star and I am so lucky to have him as my father.
As I rode my bike I could hear the wind as it whispered in my ears.
I remember the narrow cement road as I rode down and back,
Looking at the fresh green trees above my head and feeling the ray
of the sun.
I couldn’t stop and my dad had no choice but to run around in circles with me,
Then once he got a grip he stopped the bike and I was safe and sound.
