“Jesus, Kingston, the hell are you doing?!” Seamus yelled, adjusting the towel on his waist and wiping his soaking hair out of his eyes.

“Y-you left!” Tobias accused.

Noticing the trepidation in his eyes, Seamus’s feelings of vexation turned into worry. “No, no, I didn’t leave you, Toby. I-I was in the shower, I promise.”

Reaching a hand out, Tobias felt Seamus’s drenched hair hit his hand and he started to calm down. His breathing went back to normal and he felt his fear exit his body slowly. “Don’t leave me like that.”

“I won’t. I promise,” Seamus said sincerely. “I didn’t mean to stress you, I’m sorry. I’ll make sure to let you know where I am from now on, okay?” Seamus said, taking into account that Tobias’s anxiety would be higher than it normally was.

Tobias nodded.

“Anything you want to do today?” Seamus asked as he walked towards Tobias who was currently sitting on the couch. He took a seat next to his best friend and touched his arm to let Toby know he was there.

Seamus had been doing that since he witnessed Tobias’s panic attack the first day and he wasn’t planning on stopping anytime soon. It was the first occasion Seamus had been there to experience Toby’s anxiety in a long time; he didn’t want things to go back to how they were during the first year of college.

There had been no more breakdowns since that first night. Seamus refused to sleep in his own room for extra measures and in concern for his friend’s well being.

“Can we go to the gym?”

Seamus froze. “I don’t think we should do that today.”

“Why though? You’ve gone to practice all week and I’ve had to sit here and miss out on everything,” Tobias complained.

“We’re not even doing anything, you’re seriously not missing out,” Seamus lied.

“Whatever, I’ll just get Keiran to take me.”

“Wait, Kingston-”

“It’s fine. You don’t think I can handle it, but whatever. I’ll just get Keiran to take me because he knows that I can do this.” Tobias guilt-tripped and got up from the couch, stepping over Seamus’s knees.

“Toby, you know I didn’t say that. C’mon, don’t put words into my mouth. Toby-” but Seamus was cut off by Tobias’s door slamming shut.

Locking the door, Tobias whipped out his phone from his pocket.
