Welcome to the second edition of the EHU for 2019.
The annual SAEVA congress has been and gone in a flash. I was fortunate to again attend this year and it was
another great event. The congress report should give those who did not attend an idea of what they missed out
on. Another newsworthy item is that the lectures from this year are available as online webinars on the SAEVA
website.
These are free to delegates and available for a small fee to those who did not attend.
We are fortunate for this edition to have two CPD articles.
Our first CPD article is kindly supplied by Dr. Catriona Lyle and is on Antibiotic stewardship. SAEVA are acutely
aware of the increasing need for veterinarians to be proactive about antibiotic stewardship and encourage
members to take this seriously.
The second CPD article for this EHU is sponsored by IMV Imaging.
IMV do a tremendous job distributing educational material to equine veterinarians.
For this edition they have provided a nice concise article on equine fetlock radiographic examination.
In addition there is also a quick link page to other IMV equine educational sources which can accessed for free
after registering which is a quick and easy process.
