ear Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to remind you of a few important
events leading into the New Year and our annual Congress in February
2018.
We’ve extended the deadline for early bird discount for the 2018 SAEVA con-
gress to Monday 4 December. The focus of the 2018 Congress would be on
Diagnostic Imaging (Virginia Reef), Equine Medicine (Warwick Bayley), and
Opthalmology (Anthony Goodhead). All excellent speakers and the venue, Goudini, is situated in a lovely area of
our country. Don’t miss out. (Visit www.saeva.co.za for information).
It is election year in 2018 and you have to nominate regional representatives. The Treasurer and Secretary posi-
tions on the executive will also become vacant. Please expect a nomination form by email shortly - your active
participation in your organisation is necessary to keep it growing.
At the end of our 50th Congress anniversary year and a successful year for SAEVA I would like to take this op-
portunity to wish all our members a great festive season, making time for family and friends and returning home
safely and recharged to tackle the new year.
I leave you with these words of wisdom from John Wooden:
“Too often we get distracted by what’s outside our control. The door to the past has been shut and the key thrown
away. And you can’t do anything about tomorrow; it is yet to come. However, tomorrow is determined by what
