Want photographs of your horse, but "I don't want to be in them"

A lot of my clients are apprehensive about being in front of the camera, after all, most us avoid having our photographs taken like the plague in day to day life, and then suddenly you find yourself volunteering to be centre of attention. Scary thought isn't it?! However, please be rest assured, these are one set of photographs that are about your horse more than you.

It's about the bond between your four legged friend and you, which I passionately feel deserves to be photographed, no matter what your personal image of yourself. Obviously nobody is going to force you in front of the camera, so if you really don't want to, that's fine, we will just work with your horse. But whilst I am there, you might as well take advantage and face your fears. Even if it's just your hand in the photo.

Here's what's included.

Typically, an individual shoot will take 1-2 hours. Feel free to change outfits if you wish and we will aim for a variation of ridden, in hand shots and of course some at liberty shots if you wish. We will decide together what you want to achieve. I like to try to use a number of different backgrounds, depending on what is available to us. I take unlimited shots in order to achieve what we want. These will be edited and digitally enhanced in the days following your shoot and you will likely be presented with between 40-80 images in a slide show set to music which you view at our studio. I will then help you choose your images for your wall art or your album.

A portrait shoot fee is usually £100 unless we have any special offers running. Our framed desk portraits start at £75, wall art at £245 and albums at £495.

I travel all over.

I am based in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire. However, I travel as far as you want me to. I have worked with clients as far as Spain, so no distance is too far!

Some trips may require an overnight stay at a reasonably priced B&B. Travel is charged at 40p per mile. The distance is calculated from NP7 5BA.

If you are located further afield, I'd definitely recommend a group session, which splits travel expenses and reduces the cost of the shoot itself.
